Synopsis
Canadian artist Michael Flomen works with a very special darkroom, made up of just two elements: nature and night. In this documentary film shot with an infrared camera, we follow him on his nocturnal expeditions where, equipped with light-sensitive paper, he sets off in search of the natural elements that will serve as both material and equipment: a few blades of grass, fireflies, river water or snow... They give birth on paper to an abstract work full of poetry which, for Michael Flomen, is as much a reflection on the photographic medium as on the place of Man within the natural world.
