Synopsis
From their harmless hobbies to their most secret fantasies, the Belgian people reveal themselves under the lens of six photographers. Herman Selleslags, Carl De Keyzer, Freya Maes, Gert Jochems, Jimmy Kets and Charlotte Lybeer set out to meet Belgians, with one question in mind: what do they do in their spare time? Between a study of human nature in the age of consumerism and reflections on photography, this portrait of a country seen from the inside also becomes a portrait of those who have immortalised it. It is the third chapter in a series of films on Belgian photography since 1945, directed by Johannes Bucher and Jurgen Buedts.
