Kimmo Koskela

Kimmo Koskela was born in 1960. He began his professional career as a photographer in Finland. At the beginning of the 1980s, he turned to film and video to bring them to the stage. He has worked with such well-known visual artists as Eija-Liisa Ahtila and Arno Minkkinen.
He is regarded as the founder of contemporary video art in Finland. He is also a specialist in the interaction between video art and scenic spaces. He produces, films, directs, edits and photographs, and lives in Helsinki.
