Trained in Paris and New York, Thierry Spitzer is a French director of documentary films, videos, commercials, and more.
His production company is called ‘Arkadin.’
Specialising in contemporary art, he has made numerous films about artists such as Pierre Soulages, Bernar Venet, François Morellet, Jacques Monory, Richard Serra, Pierette Bloch, Giuseppe Penone, etc.
Between 2003 and 2005, he directed a series of six 52-minute films with Jacques Bouzerand entitled Place à l’art contemporain ! (Make Way for Contemporary Art!), which was broadcast on France 5.
