June Leaf
Sculpter Painter
June Leaf studied art in Chicago. At the end of the 1940s, she was active in the group The Monster Roster in Chicago.
In 1958, she received a Fulbright Grant which enabled her to study in Paris. On her return to the United States, her work was exhibited at the Allan Frumkin Gallery in New York and Chicago. Her work also found its way into the major collections of international museums.
From 1960, she settled and worked in New York.
In the early 1970s, she lived with Robert Frank between New York and Mabou, Nova Scotia, where she had a second studio with a small forge.
